Topics We Cover
Submission Guidelines
Length
Articles should be between 1,500-4,000 words. We favor thorough exploration over brevity, but every word should earn its place.
Format
Submit as a Google Doc or Word document. Include a short bio (2-3 sentences) and a high-resolution headshot.
Originality
All submissions must be original and unpublished. We don't accept pieces that have appeared elsewhere, including personal blogs or Medium.
Editorial Process
Accepted pieces go through our editorial process. We'll work with you on revisions, but the core idea and voice remain yours.
Response Time
We aim to respond to all submissions within 2-3 weeks. Due to volume, we may not be able to provide detailed feedback on declined pieces.
Compensation
We believe writers should be paid for their work. Compensation varies based on the piece:
- Essays: $200-500 depending on length and depth
- Features: $500-1,000 for in-depth reported pieces
- Bonus: Additional payment for high-performing pieces
