Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MetaSpace's platform, services, applications, or content (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using MetaSpace on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity. If you do not agree, do not access or use the Platform.

2. Platform Description

MetaSpace provides a virtual and augmented reality platform that includes:

• Access to virtual worlds and immersive experiences
• Social features including voice chat, messaging, and spatial interaction
• Content creation tools (World Builder, Avatar Creator, SDK)
• A digital marketplace for virtual goods and experiences
• Developer APIs and enterprise spatial computing tools
• Educational and professional collaboration environments

3. Account Requirements

• You must be at least 13 years old (with parental consent) or 18 years old to create an account
• You must provide accurate registration information
• You are responsible for maintaining account security and all activity under your account
• One person may not operate multiple accounts without authorization
• You must immediately report any unauthorized use of your account

4. User Content & Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you create on MetaSpace ("User Content"). By publishing User Content, you grant MetaSpace a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute your content within the Platform. You agree not to:

• Upload content that infringes on others' intellectual property rights
• Create content that is harmful, abusive, or violates community guidelines
• Use AI-generated content that mimics real individuals without consent
• Sell or distribute content created using MetaSpace tools outside the Platform without authorization

5. Virtual Marketplace

The MetaSpace Marketplace allows creators to sell virtual goods. Key terms:

• Creators receive 85% of sale revenue; MetaSpace retains 15% as a platform fee
• All transactions are final. Refunds are at MetaSpace's sole discretion
• Virtual goods have no real-world monetary value outside the Platform
• MetaSpace reserves the right to remove content that violates these terms or community guidelines
• Payouts are processed monthly for balances exceeding $50

6. Community Guidelines

MetaSpace is committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment. Users must not:

• Harass, bully, or threaten other users
• Create or share content depicting violence, hate speech, or explicit material
• Impersonate other users, brands, or MetaSpace employees
• Engage in scams, fraud, or deceptive practices
• Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities instead of reporting them
• Violate the personal space boundaries of other users

Violations may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination.

7. Subscription & Billing

• Free tier (Explorer) requires no payment
• Paid tiers (Creator, Pro, Enterprise) are billed monthly or annually
• You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period
• Price changes are communicated 30 days in advance
• Refunds for annual subscriptions are prorated within the first 30 days

8. Health & Safety

VR experiences may cause motion sickness, disorientation, or eye strain in some users. We recommend taking regular breaks (at least 10 minutes every hour), using MetaSpace in a safe physical environment, and discontinuing use if you experience discomfort. MetaSpace is not liable for injuries resulting from VR use.

9. Limitation of Liability

MetaSpace shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform, including loss of virtual goods, data, or revenue. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to MetaSpace in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. MetaSpace may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, you lose access to purchased content and virtual goods. Creator earnings will be paid out within 60 days of account closure.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in San Francisco, CA, except where prohibited by law.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email and in-platform notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
