Santorini
Experience the magic of white-washed villages, blue-domed churches, and breathtaking Mediterranean sunsets
About Santorini
Santorini is a stunning island in the southern Aegean Sea, about 200 km southeast of Greece's mainland. It's the remains of an enormous volcanic explosion that destroyed the earliest settlements on a formerly single island.
The island is famous for its dramatic views, stunning sunsets, white-washed houses, and its active volcano. Fira, the capital, is a marriage of Venetian and Cycladic architecture with white-washed houses, narrow streets, and blue-domed churches.
