Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for an account, placing a bid, or otherwise using Prestige Auctions' services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our services.

2. Bidder Registration

To participate in our auctions, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Provide valid government-issued identification
• Supply financial references for auctions exceeding $50,000
• Maintain current contact and payment information

3. Bidding Rules

All bids are binding contracts. By placing a bid, you agree to:

• Honor your bid as a binding offer to purchase
• Pay the hammer price plus buyer's premium (25%)
• Pay all applicable taxes and shipping costs
• Complete payment within 7 days of invoice
• Arrange collection or delivery within 30 days

4. Buyer's Premium

A buyer's premium of 25% will be added to the hammer price of all lots. For online bidding, an additional 2% technology fee applies. All premiums are subject to applicable sales tax.

5. Payment Terms

We accept the following payment methods:

• Wire transfer (preferred for purchases over $25,000)
• Certified check or cashier's check
• Credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) up to $25,000
• Cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, Ethereum) with prior approval

Late payments are subject to a 1.5% monthly interest charge.

6. Condition Reports & Authenticity

All lots are sold "as is." While we provide condition reports upon request, these are opinions and not guarantees. We stand behind our authenticity guarantees for a period of 5 years from the date of sale.

7. Shipping & Insurance

Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. We can arrange shipping through our preferred carriers at competitive rates. All items are insured during transit when shipped through our services.

8. Export Regulations

Some items may be subject to export restrictions under cultural property laws or CITES regulations. It is the buyer's responsibility to comply with all applicable import/export regulations.

9. Limitation of Liability

Prestige Auctions' liability is limited to the purchase price paid. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the auction or use of purchased items.

10. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New York County, New York.
