At CodeForge, protecting your data and code is fundamental to our mission. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.
1. Information We Collect
Account Data: Name, email, and payment information when you sign up. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never store full card numbers.
Code & Projects: Your code is stored encrypted on our servers to power the cloud IDE. We never access, share, or use your code for any purpose other than providing the service.
Usage Analytics: Anonymous, aggregated data about feature usage, performance metrics, and error logs to improve the product.
2. How We Use Your Data

- To process payments and manage your subscription
- To send essential service notifications
- To improve performance and fix bugs

3. Data Security
All code is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). Workspaces are fully isolated using container-level sandboxing. We maintain SOC 2 Type II compliance and conduct regular third-party security audits.
4. Your Rights
- Access and download your data at any time
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your projects in standard formats
- Opt out of marketing communications
5. Data Retention
Active account data is retained while your account is active. Deleted projects are purged within 30 days. Account deletion permanently removes all data within 30 days.
6. Third-Party Services
We use Stripe for payments, Cloudflare for CDN/security, and anonymized analytics. We do not sell data to any third party and do not use advertising trackers.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and preferences. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.
