These Terms of Service govern your use of CodeForge. By using the platform, you agree to these terms.

1. Account Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) to use CodeForge.

2. Service Description

CodeForge provides a cloud-based development environment including code editing, compilation, deployment, and collaboration tools. Features vary by plan tier (Hobby, Pro, Team).

3. Your Code & Content

You retain all intellectual property rights to code and content you create on CodeForge. We claim no ownership over your projects. You grant us a limited license to store and process your code solely to provide the service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use CodeForge for illegal activities including cryptocurrency mining
  • Attempt to access other users' workspaces
  • Abuse computing resources or bypass usage limits
  • Store malware, exploit kits, or illegal content
  • Resell or redistribute the service

5. Payment & Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually. Prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of your billing period. We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on first purchases.

6. Uptime & Availability

We target 99.9% uptime for Pro and Team plans with SLA guarantees. The Hobby tier is provided on a best-effort basis. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated at least 48 hours in advance.

7. Data & Privacy

Your use of CodeForge is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We encrypt all code at rest and in transit. Workspace isolation ensures your environment is fully sandboxed.

8. Limitation of Liability

CodeForge is provided "as is." While we strive for reliability, we are not liable for data loss, service interruptions, or damages arising from use of the platform. You should maintain your own backups of critical code.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data is deleted within 30 days per our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes

We may update these terms with 30 days notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States.
