Terms of Service

1. Enrollment and Registration

By enrolling, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Pay a one-time registration fee of $35 (may be waived during promotions)
• Students under 18 must have parent/guardian consent
• Notify us of any changes to contact information

2. Tuition and Payment

• Monthly Tuition: Due on the 1st of each month, charged automatically to your payment method
• Late Payments: A $15 late fee applies after the 5th of the month
• Returned Payments: A $25 fee applies for declined or returned payments
• Price Changes: We will provide 30 days notice before any tuition increases
• No Refunds: Monthly tuition is non-refundable once paid

3. Lesson Attendance and Cancellations

• Regular Attendance: Students are expected to attend their scheduled lessons weekly
• 24-Hour Notice: Cancellations made with at least 24 hours notice can be rescheduled
• Late Cancellations: Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice forfeit the lesson
• No-Shows: Missed lessons without notice are forfeited
• Emergency Credits: Each student receives 2 emergency makeup credits per semester
• Teacher Absences: We will provide a substitute or makeup lesson at no charge

4. Withdrawal and Termination

• Written Notice: Withdrawal requires written notice (email acceptable) by the 15th of the month prior
• Example: To withdraw effective March 1st, notify us by February 15th
• Final Month: Tuition for the final month is non-refundable
• Our Right: We reserve the right to terminate enrollment for non-payment, disruptive behavior, or violation of these terms

5. Studio Rules and Conduct

• Students should arrive 5 minutes before their scheduled lesson
• Parents of young children (under 8) must remain on premises during lessons
• Treat all instruments, equipment, and facilities with respect
• Disruptive behavior may result in dismissal from the school
• Food and drinks (except water) are not permitted in lesson rooms

6. Instrument Rental

• Rental instruments remain the property of Harmony Music School
• Renters are responsible for normal maintenance and safe storage
• Damage beyond normal wear will be assessed and charged accordingly
• Lost or stolen instruments must be reported immediately
• Full replacement value may be charged for lost/stolen instruments

7. Photo and Video Release

Unless you opt out in writing, you grant Harmony Music School permission to photograph and video record students during lessons, recitals, and events for promotional purposes including our website, social media, and marketing materials. Names will not be published without explicit consent.

8. Liability Waiver

Harmony Music School is not liable for personal injury, property damage, or loss of personal belongings on our premises, except in cases of gross negligence. Students and parents/guardians assume all risk of participation in lessons and events.

9. Online Lessons

• Online lessons are conducted via Zoom or Google Meet
• Students are responsible for having a stable internet connection and suitable device
• Technical difficulties on the student's end do not qualify for makeups
• Online lesson recordings are prohibited without prior consent

10. Intellectual Property

All curriculum materials, lesson content, and teaching methods are the intellectual property of Harmony Music School. These materials may not be copied, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without written permission.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days in advance. Continued enrollment after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Harmony Music School operates. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
