We're committed to sustainable practices that preserve our beautiful forest for future generations. From solar-powered facilities to our Leave No Trace education programs, environmental stewardship is at the heart of everything we do.
A Legacy of Adventure
From a small family campsite to a premier outdoor destination
The Beginning
Robert and Mary Thompson purchased 50 acres of pristine forest land with a dream of sharing nature's beauty with others. They opened with just 10 tent sites and a small cabin.
Expansion Era
Added RV hookups, modern restroom facilities, and acquired 100 additional acres. Built the iconic Lodge that still serves as our community gathering space.
Second Generation
Michael Thompson took over operations, introducing the popular guided hiking program and wildlife education center that have become campground favorites.
Going Green
Installed solar panels, implemented comprehensive recycling, and earned Green Business Certification. Became the first campground in the region with carbon-neutral operations.
Modern Comfort
Completed deluxe cabin village, upgraded WiFi throughout the property, and launched online reservation system. Third-generation Sarah Thompson joined leadership.
Looking Forward
Now spanning 200 acres with 150+ campsites, 20 cabins, and endless activities, we continue our family tradition of hospitality while embracing innovation.
