General Rules

  • All guests must register at the camp office upon arrival. Only registered guests may use campground facilities.
  • Maximum 8 people per campsite and 6 people per cabin. Children under 3 do not count toward the limit.
  • Maximum 2 vehicles per site. Additional vehicles must be parked in the overflow lot ($10/night).
  • Speed limit is 5 MPH throughout the campground. Watch for children and wildlife.
  • Visitors must register at the office and pay the day-use fee ($5/person). All visitors must leave by 10:00 PM.
  • Children under 14 must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Quiet Hours

Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. During this time:

  • Keep voices low and music off (or use headphones)
  • No generators may be run (generator hours: 8 AM - 10 PM)
  • No driving in or out of the campground (except emergencies)
  • Keep campfire conversations at a low volume

Pet Policy

We welcome well-behaved dogs at designated pet-friendly sites and cabins. Pet fee: $15/night per pet (maximum 2 pets per site).

  • Pets must be on a leash (max 6 feet) at all times when outside your vehicle/tent/cabin
  • Clean up after your pet immediately. Pet waste bags are available at the camp store.
  • Pets may not be left unattended at any time (including in vehicles in hot weather)
  • Pets are not allowed in bathhouses, playgrounds, beach areas, or rental boats
  • Excessive barking or aggressive behavior may result in being asked to leave
  • Proof of current vaccinations may be requested

Note: Service animals are welcome at all sites regardless of pet policy. Please notify us when making your reservation.

Fire Safety

Fire conditions can change daily. Check with the office for current fire restrictions.

  • Campfires are allowed ONLY in designated fire rings/pits provided at each site
  • Do NOT bring outside firewood. It may contain invasive pests. Purchase firewood at the camp store ($8/bundle).
  • Fires must be attended at all times by a responsible adult
  • Fires must be fully extinguished (cold to the touch) before leaving your site or going to sleep
  • Keep a bucket of water or hose nearby when fire is burning
  • No burning of trash, cardboard, or any non-wood materials
  • Propane fire pits are allowed but must be elevated off the ground

Wildlife & Food Storage

Pine Valley is home to black bears and other wildlife. Proper food storage is required by regulation and protects both campers and animals.

  • All food (including coolers, cooking equipment, and pet food) must be stored in vehicles with windows closed OR in the bear-proof lockers provided at each site
  • Scented items (toiletries, sunscreen, bug spray) must also be stored securely
  • Never leave food unattended at your campsite, even for a few minutes
  • Do not approach, feed, or harass wildlife
  • Report any bear sightings or property damage to the camp office immediately

Prohibited Items & Activities

  • Firearms and weapons of any kind
  • Fireworks, firecrackers, or explosives
  • Illegal drugs or substances
  • Glass containers at beach and pool areas
  • ATVs, dirt bikes, or motorized off-road vehicles
  • Drones without prior written permission
  • Outside firewood (prevents invasive pests)
  • Cutting or damaging trees, plants, or natural features

Policy Enforcement

These rules exist to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all campers. Violations may result in:

  • Verbal warning for minor first-time offenses
  • Written warning for repeated minor offenses
  • Immediate eviction without refund for serious violations or repeated offenses
  • Fines for property damage or cleanup costs
  • Banning from future stays
