1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website, making a reservation, or using any services provided by Pine Valley Campground ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Reservation Terms

2.1 Booking Process

  • All reservations require a one-night deposit at the time of booking
  • Remaining balance is due upon check-in
  • You must be at least 21 years of age to make a reservation
  • A valid ID and credit card are required at check-in
  • Reservations are confirmed once payment is processed

2.2 Cancellation Policy

  • 7+ days before arrival: Full refund minus $25 processing fee
  • 3-6 days before arrival: 50% refund
  • Less than 48 hours: No refund
  • Holiday/Special Events: Non-refundable 14-day cancellation policy

2.3 Modifications

Reservation modifications are subject to availability. Date changes made within 7 days of arrival may incur a $15 modification fee. Rate differences may apply.

3. Check-in and Check-out

  • Check-in time: 3:00 PM
  • Check-out time: 11:00 AM
  • Early check-in and late check-out available for $25 (subject to availability)
  • Late departures without approval may be charged an additional night
  • All guests must register at the office upon arrival

4. Site Assignment and Occupancy

  • We reserve the right to assign or reassign campsites based on availability and operational needs
  • Maximum occupancy: 8 persons per campsite, 6 persons per cabin
  • Maximum 2 vehicles per site (additional vehicles $10/night)
  • Only registered guests may use campground facilities
  • Visitors must register at the office and pay the day-use fee ($5/person)
  • All visitors must leave by 10:00 PM

5. Campground Rules

All guests must comply with our campground rules and policies. Key rules include:

  • Quiet hours: 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM
  • Speed limit: 5 mph throughout the campground
  • Pets must be leashed and cleaned up after
  • Campfires in designated fire rings only
  • No firearms, fireworks, or illegal substances
  • Proper food storage required (bear-proof containers provided)

Violation of campground rules may result in immediate eviction without refund.

6. Liability and Assumption of Risk

6.1 Outdoor Activities

Camping and outdoor recreation involve inherent risks, including but not limited to: wildlife encounters, adverse weather conditions, uneven terrain, water hazards, and insects. By using our facilities, you acknowledge and assume these risks.

6.2 Property Damage

Pine Valley Campground is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property. Guests are responsible for any damage caused to campground property, facilities, or equipment. A $200 security deposit is required for cabin rentals.

6.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pine Valley Campground and its owners, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our facilities or services.

7. Weather and Force Majeure

We are not responsible for weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our control. In the event of severe weather, natural disasters, or other emergencies, we may need to close the campground or evacuate guests for safety. No refunds will be provided for closures due to force majeure events.

8. Website Use

  • You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes
  • You may not use automated systems to access the site without permission
  • All content on the website is our property and may not be reproduced without permission
  • We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the website at any time

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pine Valley Campground, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these terms or your use of our facilities.

10. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of San Diego County, California.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
