Visiting & Tours

Do I need to make a reservation for a tour?

While walk-ins are welcome based on availability, we highly recommend making a reservation to guarantee your spot, especially on weekends and holidays. You can book online or call us at (502) 555-1892.

What are your hours of operation?

Our tasting room and gift shop are open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 6pm, and Sunday from 12pm to 5pm. Tours run throughout the day with the last tour starting at 4pm (3pm on Sundays).

Is there a minimum age to visit the distillery?

Visitors of all ages are welcome on our tours. However, you must be 21 years or older with valid ID to participate in any bourbon tastings. We offer complimentary soft drinks for designated drivers and underage guests.

Is the tour wheelchair accessible?

Most areas of our facility are wheelchair accessible, including our main tasting room and gift shop. Some historic areas of the distillery have limited access. Please contact us in advance so we can accommodate your needs.

Our Bourbon

What makes bourbon different from whiskey?

Bourbon is a type of American whiskey that must meet strict legal requirements: made in the USA, containing at least 51% corn, aged in new charred oak barrels, distilled to no more than 160 proof, and entered into the barrel at no more than 125 proof.

How long is your bourbon aged?

Our bourbons range from 4 to 12 years of aging. Our Heritage Reserve is aged 8 years, our Copper Still is 4 years, and our special releases can be 10-12 years. We believe in patience—our master distiller decides when each barrel is ready.

Do you offer barrel selections for private buyers?

Yes! Our private barrel program allows you to visit the distillery, taste multiple barrels, and select your own single barrel bourbon. The experience includes a tour, tasting, and your name on the barrel. Contact us for pricing and availability.

Purchasing & Shipping

Can you ship bourbon to my state?

Due to varying state laws, we can currently ship to 38 states. Enter your zip code at checkout to see if we can ship to your location. An adult signature (21+) is required upon delivery.

Do you offer international shipping?

Unfortunately, we cannot ship internationally at this time due to export regulations. However, our bourbon is distributed in select countries through licensed importers. Contact us for information about international availability.

What is your return policy?

Due to state alcohol regulations, we cannot accept returns on spirits. Non-alcohol merchandise can be returned within 30 days with receipt for a full refund. Damaged items should be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

Events & Groups

Can I host a private event at the distillery?

Absolutely! We have several venues available for private events, from intimate gatherings to large celebrations. Our events team can customize packages for weddings, corporate events, and special occasions. Visit our Events page for more information.

Do you accommodate large groups?

Yes, we welcome groups of all sizes. For parties of 10 or more, we recommend booking a private tour to ensure the best experience. Group rates are available. Contact us at groups@copperandoak.com for reservations.
