Your Safety Matters

Your Safety is Our Priority

We've built comprehensive safety features and a dedicated trust team to help you date with confidence. Every match on MatchUp goes through our verification process.

How We Keep You Safe

Four core safety systems working together

Photo Verification

Every user verifies their identity with a live photo. We use advanced AI to detect fakes and ensure authenticity.

AI Monitoring

Our AI scans conversations and profiles 24/7 for inappropriate content, harassment, or suspicious behavior.

Video Verification

Use our optional video chat feature to see who you're talking to before meeting in person.

Block & Report

Instantly block anyone and report suspicious behavior to our trust team. We respond within 24 hours.

Dating Safety Tips

Smart practices to keep yourself safe

Meet in Public First

Always meet for your first date in a public place like a coffee shop or restaurant. Tell a friend where you're going.

Share Information Carefully

Don't share your address, work location, or financial information early on. Wait until you fully trust them.

Trust Your Gut

If something feels off, it probably is. It's okay to unmatch or end a conversation. Your safety comes first.

Video Chat Before Meeting

Use our free video chat feature to verify it's really them and get a feel for their personality and vibe.
