1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Pawsome Veterinary's services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. These terms apply to all clients, visitors, and pet owners.

2. Services

Pawsome Veterinary provides veterinary medical services including but not limited to:

  • Wellness examinations and preventive care
  • Vaccinations and parasite prevention
  • Diagnostic services (laboratory, imaging)
  • Dental care
  • Surgical procedures
  • Emergency and critical care
  • Nutritional counseling

3. Appointments

Scheduling: Appointments can be made online, by phone, or through our mobile app. We recommend scheduling routine appointments at least one week in advance.

Cancellation Policy: We require at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a $50 fee. Repeated missed appointments may result in the requirement of a deposit for future bookings.

Emergencies: Emergency appointments are available 24/7. Please call (555) 911-PETS for emergencies.

4. Payment Terms

Payment Due: Payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, CareCredit, and Scratchpay.

Estimates: We provide written estimates for procedures over $500. Actual costs may vary based on findings during examination or surgery.

Insurance: We do not bill pet insurance companies directly. We provide itemized invoices for you to submit to your insurance provider.

Outstanding Balances: Accounts past due more than 30 days may be subject to collection activities. Services may be limited until balances are resolved.

5. Client Responsibilities

As a client, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information about your pet's health history
  • Inform us of any medications or supplements your pet is taking
  • Follow post-treatment care instructions
  • Keep your pet properly restrained during transport and in the clinic
  • Disclose any known behavioral issues that may affect staff safety
  • Maintain current contact information in our records

6. Consent for Treatment

By presenting your pet for treatment, you authorize us to provide necessary medical care. For procedures requiring anesthesia or surgery, we will obtain specific written consent and discuss risks and alternatives.

Emergency Authorization: If we cannot reach you during an emergency, we are authorized to provide life-saving treatment. You remain responsible for associated costs.

7. Medical Records

Your pet's medical records are maintained by Pawsome Veterinary. You may request copies of these records. We may charge a reasonable fee for extensive record copying. Records may be released to other veterinary facilities with your authorization.

8. Limitation of Liability

While we strive to provide the highest quality care, veterinary medicine involves inherent risks. We are not liable for:

  • Complications arising from pre-existing conditions
  • Adverse reactions to medications or vaccines
  • Outcomes that differ from expectations despite appropriate care
  • Damages resulting from failure to follow our instructions

9. Euthanasia

Humane euthanasia is performed only when medically indicated and with owner consent. We reserve the right to decline euthanasia requests for healthy animals. We offer cremation and memorial services.

10. Disputes

Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be subject to binding arbitration in San Francisco County, California.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Significant changes will be communicated via email or posted notice at the clinic.
