Welcome to Stellar Observatory. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, facilities, services, and programs. By accessing our website or purchasing tickets, memberships, or other services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
By using our website or services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.
All ticket sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to refuse admission or remove any visitor who violates these Terms or our visitor policies.
Planetarium show tickets are for a specific date and time. Latecomers may not be admitted after the show begins. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before showtime.
Ticket exchanges may be requested up to 24 hours before the scheduled visit, subject to availability and a $5 exchange fee per ticket. Contact our box office to request an exchange.
In the event of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances that prevent us from opening, we will offer ticket exchanges for a future date. We are not responsible for travel costs or other expenses incurred due to closures.
Membership benefits begin on the date of purchase and expire one year from that date. Benefits are subject to change and may vary by membership level.
Membership cards are non-transferable and must be presented at each visit. Lost or stolen cards can be replaced for a $10 fee.
Memberships do not automatically renew. You will receive renewal reminders via email before your membership expires. Lapsed memberships may be renewed within 90 days at the current rate.
Memberships may be cancelled within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. After 30 days, memberships are non-refundable.
All visitors are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that is respectful of other visitors, staff, and our facilities. The following are prohibited:

Personal photography and video recording for non-commercial use is permitted in most areas of the observatory. However:

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stellar Observatory shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our website or services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of our services shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stellar Observatory, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of our services.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
