Our Origins
From Burgundy to Napa Valley
In 1892, Jean-Pierre Beaumont left his family's vineyards in Burgundy with a dream: to create wines in the New World that would rival the greatest French estates.
He discovered the perfect terroir in the hills of Napa Valley—volcanic soils, morning fog, and afternoon sunshine that reminded him of home. Here, he planted his first vines and established Domaine de Lumiere.
Five generations later, the Beaumont family continues his legacy, blending Old World tradition with California innovation to produce wines of exceptional character and elegance.
